Root Canal Therapy: case 3

A lower first molar with an existing crown. The tooth pulp is infected or has an irreversible pulpitis.

The canals are explored with small files. The tooth has four canals that joined at the tips of the root or root apices.

The completed root canal. The old crown came off because of decay under the crown. A copper tube is used so that a rubber dam clamp could be attached.

A post is placed. A post is placed and a core is fabricated. The copper tube is removed and the core is prepped for a crown.
